It’s Your Choice at Yourway Burgers & Wings

In a market saturated with burger joints, Yourway Burgers & Wings attempts to set itself apart by allowing you to customize your burger to your liking. Similar in concept to Which Wich®, an order form is provided to prompt you on various options from bun (plain, wheat, jalapeno, sourdough, etc.) to patty (1/3 pound beef, 1/2 pound beef, turkey, veggie, salmon, chicken, etc.) to cheese.

Of the available customization options, the most interesting is the infused topping. You can elect to have chopped jalapenos, crushed pepper, chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, bell pepper, or chopped mushrooms mashed right into your patty.

At the time of this writing, Farmers Branch has the only Dallas-area Yourway Burgers & Wings (on Midway Rd. just north of Alpha Rd.); other locations include Fort Worth and Keller. The decor is modern, and a full bar is available should you want to get sloshed.

I did it my way. That is, I ordered a cheeseburger (with cheddar) on a white bun with chopped onions infused into the 1/3-pound patty. My dining companion also ordered a 1/3 pounder on a jalapeno bun plus an order of sweet potato fries.

I don’t know what to say except the burger was good—maybe even excellent. Perhaps I went in with unreasonably high expectations. That’s what I get for reading too many Yelp reviews.

Most surprising were the sweet potato fries that I mooched off my friend. They were cut thicker than most—almost like steak fries.

The bottom line is (as a former co-worker of mine used to say) Yourway Burger & Wings is worth another trip. You can find them at 13605 Midway Suite 120, Farmers Branch, TX 74244, next door to Mango’s Noodle House.
