Las Colinas is About to Get Flugtagged, and You Have But a Fortnight to Apply

What child hasn’t dreamt of the day they could fly a giant makeshift object with wings off a tall platform and, no more than 100 feet later, into a lake?

5 Reasons You Should Be An FC Dallas Fan

Note: the title of this post is interchangeable with “5 Reasons You Should, Without A Doubt, Be Going To The FC Dallas Season Opener This Saturday”.

5. Record Attendance Numbers

If you follow the local sports media, you would never guess that there’s a top-tier professional soccer team in DFW. The Frisco club FC Dallas averaged over 14,000 attendees per game last season, up from under 12,000 in 2010-2011 and well under 11,000 the year before that. That’s a whopping 24% attendance increase in just two years — impressive for an organization in their 18th year of existence.

Lifehouse to Headline Free Carrollton Festival

Nobody likes paying for concerts. Free concerts are a good thing. When a free concert involves an iconic, sorta-grungy 2000s alt-rock band, it’s really a no-brainer.

Lifehouse will be performing November 3 at the 3rd Annual Festival at the Switchyard, an all-day event that features local and national acts.

The band is indisputably best-known for their 2002 single “Hanging by a Moment,” a song that has played in just about every location imaginable for the past 10 years. They will be preceded by Sister Hazel, famous for their infectious toe-tapper “All for You.”
